It’s been a little while, and I’m glad to be back in touch.

As we look ahead to Responsive Conference 2026, our focus is sharpening around a central question:

• The pace of change has become impossible to ignore.
• How is the job landscape changing – and what those changes mean for our work, our organizations, and ourselves?
• New tools are entering the workplace quickly and expectations are shifting fast.

Roles feel increasingly less defined, and the path forward isn't clear.

Throughout the year, we’ll be exploring how jobs are evolving, and how people and organizations are responding. We’re interested in what helps individuals stay useful and grounded in moments of uncertainty, and what helps organizations remain flexible without losing their sense of purpose.

In the meantime, there’s a lot happening in the near future, and we’re looking forward to reconnecting with many of you along the way. We'll be at:

• The Summit on Purpose & Flourishing in the Age of AI hosted by Suzy Welch at NYU Stern – March 20

Introducing Snafu

If Responsive has focused on building resilient organizations, Snafu is about building resilient people – especially those whose work now requires influence, persuasion, and sales.

The Snafu Conference is a one-day summit for people navigating change inside their roles, their careers, and their organizations. It’s a chance to step back and look more closely at how work actually moves: how ideas gain traction, how decisions get made, and how momentum is built in uncertain conditions.

The day centers on a small set of skills that quietly shape those outcomes – persuasion, influence, and non-sales selling. These skills are often present in our work without being clearly named, taught, or examined.

We’ll spend time exploring how these capabilities show up in everyday situations, how people develop them without losing their integrity, and how they support clearer communication, sound judgment, and steadier confidence at work.
