We’re five weeks into 2025 and what a world we’re in.

During tumultuous times, I know of no better way to build resilience than to bring people together and so I’m delighted to share some updates about RC 2025.

As previously, we’re running the conference at the Oakland Museum of California on Sept. 17-18, 2025.

The theme this year is “Design for change.” We are placing a renewed focus on how to build adaptable and resilient organizations amidst rapid change, which the authors of Responsive.org articulated almost a decade ago.

As they wrote, “The tension between organizations optimized for predictability and the unpredictable world they inhabit has reached a breaking point.” It is those organizations – and people – that adapt best that are the ones most likely to survive.

Four of our confirmed speakers are:

• ​Vivienne Ming, PhD explores maximizing human capacity as a theoretical neuroscientist, delusional inventor, and demented author. (She's also my former boss!)
• ​Eldra Jackson III is the executive director of Inside Circle, a non-profit that advocates for at-risk youth and effective criminal justice rehabilitation. After more than two decades incarcerated, Eldra has dedicated his life to helping people turn their lives around after incarceration.
• ​Doug Kirkpatrick was an early employee at the Morning Star Company, a self-managed tomato manufacturer. Since, he's written books and consulted with companies around the world about self-management and employee empowerment.
• ​Neel Doshi is the co-founder and CPO of Vega Factor, and co-author of the New York Times best-seller Primed to Perform.
